Weekend

She woke as normal with it on the floor beside Her. She had slept through, safe and warm in Her other Home.
A buzz shock to its cage meant it knelt up beside Her, She slipped a hand through its collar and pulled it close. ‘Morning’ it kissed Her soft lips gently, ‘Bold, but acceptable, now go get breakfast’
Downstairs Her order was on the table as usual and it made up Her tray, toast and fruit salad today, Her tea pot warmed and ready and the single rose on the tray. It brought it up to find Her snug in the bed. As it placed the tray She patted the bed beside Her. It went to get in, ‘oh no, not You, my other boy!’ Their bichon jumped up and snuggled next to its Mistress, it knew who Number One was in Her house.
It knelt on the floor chatting as She ate, the scraps from Her breakfast dropped into its bowl on the floor. When She had finished eating, She slipped a leg out from under the cover and pushed its face into its breakfast bowl. ‘Eat up!’ The mix of tea, fruit and soggy toast wasn’t the worst thing She had had it eat’ it thanked Her and then was permitted onto the bed for a cuddle, it’s cage against Her as She placed Her head on its chest and dozed a little. The dog at their feet.
When She woke a while later they got up and dressed, it having set out Her clothes ready, it dressing as She had prescribed. Before leaving the house it knelt and kissed Her feet, She removed its indoor collar but locked back on the day collar it wore at all times.
‘Come on then!’ And off they went, to the rest of the world.
